ProFound Drill Tips participates in the construction of new metro Line 15 South for Paris region
ProFound Drill Tips is once again active in France’s Paris region! The region is planning a new, automated metro line that will connect the Parisian suburbs. And ProFound Drill Tips is proud to have passed the first tests with its anchor chair, which will be used in the line’s construction!
A station for the new Line 15 South is currently being built under the existing SNCF station of Clamart. The new line will be part of the Grand Paris Express. This new network will provide public transport in the Paris region with effect from 2030. The network will be at least 200 km long and it will connect 68 new stations. Île-de-France is introducing the line to enhance the region’s attractiveness, reduce traffic congestion, and dramatically cut commuting times. Line 15 South will be the first part of the Grand Paris Express network and it will run through 22 communes and 4 departments over a distance of 33 km. Some 300,000 passengers per day are expected to use the automated metro when it opens. This first new line is planned to be put into service by 2022.
